Midweek Minute for April 29, 2020

Midweek Minute for April 29, 2020

Video Transcript

Hey, this is Pastor Brent, and this is your Ashworth midweek minute.

Can you believe it’s the first of the month again? And this means that this Sunday, as a part of our online worship experience, we will take communion together.

So as you are planning to worship together this Sunday, get those communion elements ready.

Remember, what you choose to eat and drink isn’t as important as taking communion together as the community of Jesus Christ.

Are you enjoying seeing those videos from other Ashworth families on Sunday? I know I am! We need you to send in your video. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t washed your hair since the coronavirus was discovered, or if you have spaghetti sauce stains on your clothes!

We love you, and we want to see you and your family. So send those videos to Pastor Brent.

We are still finding creative ways to spring into action, even while being socially distant. May 1 is this Friday, and we want to encourage each of you to bless your neighbors by taking them they may basket. Don’t have the supplies? We’ve got you covered.

You can come to the church on Thursday between noon and 1 PM and five and 6 PM, and we will have a may basket kit including all the supplies you need to bless five of your neighbors. And don’t worry, these kits have been put together with gloved hands and her sanitized for your and your neighbors’ protection.

And finally, thanks to your ongoing generosity, we are able to help meet some tangible needs for our friends and ministry partners at a live church. Nineteen families at a live church have been directly impacted by COVID-19 either by contracting the virus or by losing their jobs.

As a church, we are going to donate 1000 pounds of rice and $400 in grocery gift cards to help these families. We are only able to do this because you continue to be so generous and support the ministry of Ashworth Church. Thank you!

We love and miss you guys and look forward to meeting together again as soon as it is safe to do so.

And that’s your Ashworth midweek minute.
