Springing Into Action

Springing Into Action

This spring, we presented many opportunities for our church to engage with the community around us to make an impact for the better. And so many of you responded! Almost 100 individuals in our Ashworth family Sprang into Action!

You made May baskets and dropped them to your neighbors and blessed them with a reminder that they are loved! You sorted hundreds of cans of food that will end up in our local food pantries to feed folks in our community who have extra need this season. You visited our Ashworth friends who can’t get out to attend church and sat with them, listened to them, and prayed for them. You worked in the Faith and Grace Garden and planted potatoes to prepare for a harvest of food that will eventually feed many families who are hungry in our city. You chopped wood and helped clean up Pine Lake camp so that it’s ready for many little campers to come and encounter Jesus. You gave 13 units of blood to save an sustain lives!
THANK YOU!

Jesus said to his followers in Matthew 25:
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’…‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
Thank you for being a church who cares deeply about “the least of these” and the community and neighbors around you!
