Messages on Evangelism

In the Neighborhood

Our faiths weren’t meant to be lived inside a bubble. Throughout Scripture, Jesus encourages us to go—to be His hands and feet throughout the world. Pastor Brent shares what it means to have compassion for our neighbors, rooting ourselves in the places we live, work, and learn as we seek to reveal the Kingdom of God in the world around us.

Conversations

The corruption and pain we’ve discussed over the past few weeks does not negate the importance of sharing our faith in Jesus anyways. However, we need to approach those conversations with love and a desire to build authentic relationships. We conclude the Asking for a Friend series with a panel discussion addressing that very issue.

How to Answer

How should we prepare to have tough conversations about faith? Are we even answering the questions the people around us are asking? Pastor Brent begins our new series about how to share the message of Jesus in an ever-changing world.

Beyond Evangelism

Pastor Brent talks with Matthew Becker about how evangelism and sharing Jesus with others doesn’t always have to be about a sales pitch, fear tactics, or even telling them about Jesus, but can be about walking with them a journey toward Jesus.

Beyond the Church

Sometimes we can become so inwardly focused that we forget that the church exists for those beyond its walls. Pastor Ryan looks at the parable of the Great Banquet and how Jesus wants us to go far and wide and invite people in. Discussion Questions What keeps you from being more willing to talk about Jesus with others? Limited contact with non-christians, fear of what they will think, fear of what to say, something else? Why are you a Christian?…

Loving God to Love Others

Pastor Amy discusses how our restoration isn’t only for our own good but is so that we go into the world and seek the restoration of others as well. Discussion Questions Why do you think your ability to love others is so connected to your love of God? How is your relationship with God impacted when you fail to love others well? What’s one tangible way you can love others this week?
Questioning Jesus

What Do You Think?

Pastor Brent continues the Questioning Jesus series by looking at Luke 15 and the parable of the lost sheep to see how Jesus has come to joyfully find us, bring us home, and encourages us to go and find others.

Removing the Barriers

Pastors Brent Clark and Ryan Lenerz conclude the You’ve Been Lied To (and we’re sorry about that) series by looking at how the lies we believe build barriers to our own faith and to others coming to faith. They also show how this has been an issue for the church since the first century.

Continuing the Unfinished Task

Pastor Brent Clark wraps up Unfinished: Continuing God’s Work in Our World by looking at the Apostle Paul and what allowed and motivated him to continue the unfinished task of taking the message of Jesus to the world.

Crossing Lines

Pastor Amy Becker looks at Acts 10 and how God’s desire was not only for a select group of people to hear about and know Jesus, but his desire was for all nations and people to know him.

An Unlikely Convert

Pastor Ryan looks at the dramatic conversion of Saul/Paul and how God can use the unlikeliest of people to accomplish his work in the world.

You Are A Witness

Pastor Amy shares how our response to God choosing us, setting us free, restoring us, and blessing us should be that we tell others about the goodness of God in our lives.
