Messages on 1 Samuel
Responding to the Voice of God
What if God speaks, and we don’t respond? Our response to God’s voice is just as important as our ability to listen to Him. It’s the difference between admiring what Jesus says and actually doing something about it. Responding to God’s voice can be risky, but it’s always worth it.
Trusting God in Prayer
In 1 Samuel, we find a story of suffering, perseverance, and hope. Hannah’s life and testimony teaches us that our peace comes not from what God gives us, but from God Himself. As we pray and commune with God in the midst of our suffering, He gives us exactly what we need.
Sight and Insight
The Lord does not see things the way we see them, but how do we move from focusing on what we physically see in front of us to the insight only the Lord can provide? Pastor Steve takes a look at four passages of Scripture throughout the Bible as we continue our Lenten series.
King David
We begin our Crowned series by taking a look at a tender yet complicated man named King David. Although he came from humble beginnings, his rise to power did not come without consequences and sin. However, his story and relationship with God foreshadows the incredible mercy and grace to come from the arrival of another King, King Jesus.
David – A Man After God’s Own Heart
Pastor Brent continues a look at familiar Sunday School stories and looks at David, his ups and downs, and how he was still called a man after God’s own heart.
