Brent has been at Ashworth since July 2007. His first five years at Ashworth, he served as Associate Pastor working with worship and students. In June of 2012 he was called to serve as Lead Pastor. Brent was born and raised in Arkansas and as an Arkansas Razorback fan (Wooo Pig Sooie or #WPS for you twitterers). After graduating from Central Baptist College in 1996, Brent served in various churches in Arkansas as a bi-vocational pastor serving in worship/music, youth and pastoral positions. During his bi-vocational ministry, Brent worked in the financial services industry serving several community banks. He left the banking industry in 2007 to pursue full-time ministry and moved with his family to central Iowa.
Brent’s passion is to see people experience genuine life change through the power of Jesus Christ in their lives. Brent and his wife Kerri have been married since 1995, have 7 children, and currently live in West Des Moines. In 2012, the Clarks became licensed foster parents and have been blessed to be foster parents to 8 children.
