Jesus told his disciples that being his follower wasn’t going to be easy. He said it would be a challenge and would take commitment and hard work. After all, it required a completely different way of thinking, a different set of values, and a completely new attitude. He taught that his disciples should love God with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength, and that they should put everybody else before themselves. Over 2,000 years later, this challenge for Jesus’ followers isn’t any easier, especially if we try to do it alone. That’s why we have Discipleship Groups for people who want to grow deeper in their faith.
Our Discipleship Groups are a smaller, more intentional place for people to encourage and challenge one another to become more like Jesus. In these groups of three to five people of the same gender, people authentically share their victories and struggles in life, study the Bible together, encourage one another to live a life of impact, and pray for one another. Meeting weekly or bi-weekly at any time and location that works for the group, these groups require a high level of commitment and trust and a willingness to intentionally engage others in authentic relationship. Together everybody grows more into the image of Jesus.
