Midweek Minute for August 19, 2020

Video Transcript

Hey, this is Pastor Brent, and this is your Ashworth midweek minute.

As you know, we are slowly re-opening the church in various ways.

This Sunday, we plan to re-open our nursery for children from birth to age 2. Our nursery director Sharon is excited to come back and see your kids!

We are putting all the precautions in place, including temperature check, our workers will be wearing masks, and we will limit the number of kids in each of the nursery rooms. To sign your kid up for the nursery, head over to Ashworth.Church/re-open.

We are also looking to restart our senior adult lunches. Wednesday, September 9, we are going to spread out the tables in the worship center, keep the number of people at each table to a minimum, and have a boxed lunch already set out for you, and unless you’re eating will encourage you to keep that mask on! To let us know you’re coming, send an email to Lynn in the church office.

It still isn’t wise to get a large group together, so no Ashworth picnic this year. But we’re encouraging you to host a picnic with a few Ashworth families in your backyard on September 13.

Not sure who lives in your area? Go to Ashworth.church/who lives near me to watch a video on how to use Breeze, our church management system, to find out who from Ashworth lives close to you.

We’re raising money to help support those who suffered from the terrible blast in Beirut Lebanon. And with the major storm that passed through our own state, we want to help at home as well.

If you would be willing to donate to either of these causes, go online to Ashworth.Church/give select Disaster Relief from the drop-down menu, and any money given to this will be split between these two important causes.

And that you’re Ashworth midweek minute.

Brent, I really like the opportunity to donate to disaster relief. And that reminds me that I’d love to know something about how we’ve helped in our congregation since the lock-down started in March. You had said to contact the church if help was needed, and I’ve love some feedback on how that worked out. Without specifics, of course. Thanks.
