Midweek Minute for July 29, 2020

Video Transcript

Hey, this is Pastor Brent, and this is your Ashworth Midweek Minute.

First, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who participated in person and online this past Sunday for our Lament experience. It wasn’t a normal service, but the Spirit of God was moving, and I am glad we took time for that important aspect of our Christian experience.

If you missed it, check it out online at either our Facebook page, Youtube channel, or the messages page of our website.

We know it can still be a bit scary to venture out right now, but we want you to know that if you are willing, we have plenty of space for you on Sunday mornings. With three services, limited seating, spaced out chairs, and safeguards in place, we can provide a great in-person worship experience that allows you to worship with others while keeping your distance.

And if your not sure what to do with your kids when you come since we don’t have Kids ministry right now, don’t worry. Our atmosphere on Sunday is very casual. Kids love to sing out with the worship music. We have activity bags to entertain your kids during the service. And we promise we will keep the sermons a bit shorter than our pre-COVID days. Remember to let us know you are coming at ashworth.church/reopen.

And if you just aren’t ready, no problem. You can always catch us live online at 9 and 11 for our Modern service and 10 AM for our classic service. And of course, you can find them anytime after.

The annual meeting is just around the corner, and the Ministry Plan is set to come out later this week. Keep an eye on your email for this. We know you may have questions about the budget or plan. If so, let us know. Send an email to info@ashworth.church, and we will respond.

As we answer your questions, we will add them to the annual meeting webpage at ashworth.church/annualmeeting. You can find all the latest information about the meeting, ministry plan, and budget there.

It’s still weird. Times are strange, but God is still good. Are you taking time to develop your spiritual life? Are you seeing how you might be able to help someone else as they try to follow Jesus? Don’t see this as wasted or unusable time. God can and will use this season to teach us and show us amazing things about who he is, his work in the world, and how we can be a part. And we can experience this if we are open to the Holy Spirit.

And that’s your Ashworth Midweek minute.
