Hey, this is Pastor Brent, and this is your Ashworth Midweek Minute.
Well, it is finally here! We are gathering together this weekend with an outdoor worship service on the lawn at 10 AM. The service will be a mix of songs from both services, a short message, and a time of reflection. Our goal is to be done in under an hour.
We encourage everyone to bring AND WEAR a mask. We will have some available if needed. As much as we may not like them, we know wearing them can significantly reduce the chance of infection. Jesus says, love your neighbor, so show your love by wearing a mask.
Bring a chair or a blanket as well. And as I record this, the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a high of 87 degrees. So wear a hat, bring an umbrella or something to block the sun and some sunscreen as well. Do I sound a bit like your mother now? Good!
And just in case you touch your face or someone else, or hopefully not someone else’s face, we will have hand sanitizer scattered around as well.
Our kids’ ministry team will have activity bags for the kids to help keep them entertained during the service.
Remember, we won’t have coffee or donuts available for the foreseeable future. So bring your own. We don’t mind. Really.
We also won’t be receiving an offering by passing the plate, but we will have a couple of offering boxes around for you to leave any donations you’d like to make.
There will be a website available Sunday morning you can use for the lyrics of the songs at ashworth.church, but we will have some paper song sheets available as well.
It is going to be an awesome day, and I am super excited to see you all. And remember if you want to be there but stay farther away, you can reserve a parking spot at Ashworth.church/reopen.
And if you still aren’t ready to leave the house, we completely understand. Stay home. The service will be live on Facebook and Youtube at 10 AM, well, if the technology works!
If you have any questions, please let us know. Shoot an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’ll see you Sunday and that’s your Ashworth Midweek Minute.
