Midweek MInute for June 17, 2020

Video Transcript

Hey, this is Pastor Brent, and this is you Ashworth Midweek Minute.

Well, we are just over a week away from our Ashworth reopening. We are kicking it off on June 28th with a One Worship service on the lawn at 10 AM. This is a BYOCDC event (Bring your own coffee, donuts, and chairs). Bathrooms will be available for emergencies only.

We know when you get back together, it will be difficult to maintain social distancing. You haven’t seen each other in a while. And Pastor Amy hasn’t had enough hugs these last three months! So we encourage the use of masks, and we will have hand sanitizer around as well. And remember, your social distancing is more about the health and safety of the other person that it is for you.

The following Sunday, July 5th, we plan to reopen Ashworth Church for Sunday worship gatherings. We will be following our new normal schedule of 9 and 11 AM for Modern worship in the Worship Center, and 10 AM for Classic worship in the chapel. We will continue to try to keep the services a bit shorter and. Ask that you help us by not congregating in the foyer or grouping up. Please social distance.

For now, we will not be offering kids ministry or nursery. So if you want to come, bring the kids and let them sit with you. Kerri will continue offering Zoom calls for the kids even after we meet together. Watch the Kids Facebook group for date and time information.

And if corralling your kids for the service seems a bit overwhelming, and as a parent of a three-year-old it certainly does to me, please feel free to stay home and continue to watch from there. We will be streaming the services live each week.

For all up-to-date information about our reopening plans and other questions you might have, check out the reopen page on our website at ashworth.chuch/reopen.

And that’s your Ashworth Midweek Minute.
