GET THE WORD OUT

It’s important for Christians to focus on their inward life with Jesus. But we can never stop there. This past Sunday, we looked at how we have to go BEYOND an individual faith of just me and Jesus and invite others to experience the banquet God is preparing for us all.

And there’s no better time to be talking with people than now. With Easter this Sunday, most people are more receptive to talk about Jesus this week than any other time of the year.

Faith Sharing 101

Billy Graham was one of the greats when it came to evangelism. So here’s a link to an article on the Billy Graham website about some simple things to give you greater confidence when sharing your faith.  It doesn’t take a seminary degree to tell somebody about Jesus. A life well-lived, some humility, and a clear explanation of the Gospel are a great start!

From the Empty Tomb to Today’s Abuse: Believe Women

“Believe women” has become the contested slogan of the Me Too movement. It is also the slogan of the Easter message. Read why it’s as important for us to believe women about today’s abuse as it is that we believe their testimony to the incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection.

What is Your Something to Talk About?

In this message from 2014, Pastor Brent shares about how the Apostle Paul, probably the greatest missionary ever, was one something special to look at or an incredible orator. He was an ordinary man with courage and a trust in God as she shared. Read the Message.

Message Discussion Questions

We hope the message from each Sunday sticks with you beyond the Sunday morning worship service. Take a moment to consider the questions below, and even better, talk to somebody (who attends the church or doesn’t) about them.

  1. What keeps you from being more willing to talk about Jesus with others? Limited contact with non-christians, fear of what they will think, fear of what to say, something else?
  2. Why are you a Christian? What value is there for YOU in following Jesus?
  3. Who are you praying for to come to meet Jesus? Ask God to give you opportunity to speak into their life?
